ONLINE APPEAL: Support COAL RESISTANCE

In the quest for boundless profits, coal companies have been taking aggressive steps to pursue their interest despite the resistance of local communities. Displacement, human rights violation, environmental destruction are just among the impacts of such action. 

To counter this, we need to organize ourselves and pursue collective  and concrete action in different levels and arenas. 

COAL RESISTANCE has come up some ways on how to become actively involve in the campaign against coal. 

1.) Volunteer

COAL RESISTANCE is accepting volunteers for online visibility, community organizing and education, fund raising, petition signing, and activity organizing. Interested individuals can contact us through LMK. Contact details are found in LMK Blog (Here: http://lmkportal.blogspot.com/) 

2.) Change of Facebook profile/cover photo 

Go to COAL RESISTANCE Facebook page and download its profile picture/cover photo and replace yours.

3.) Anti-Coal Selfie/Usie

- Take a photo of you or your group showing anti-coal banners, poster or placards and post it in facebook or twitter with #ResistCoal

4.) Sign an anti-coal petition  

If you are in Iligan City or Lanao del Norte, go to the designated area/community/office found in LMK Blog blog page (Here: http://lmkportal.blogspot.com/p/coal-resistance.html) . You can also download the petition and ask your family, friends, community and organization to sign it.

5.) Like Coal Resistance FB page, follow its twitter

This will keep you updated of the COAL RESISTANCE activities and actions

6.) Donate (Material or Financial)
